The new Knitty rules. Like I needed them, there are at least four patterns I'd love to knit. It seems like the men's issue JUST came out, doesn't it? I was feeling sort of jaded today, and not liking the momentum that knitting has been gathering. It just seems to be getting a little out of hand, but that could be a skewed perception, I mean I DO work in a yarn store full time =) This issue has me really excited though, especially because so many of the designers are people I've "known" in blogland for awhile. I'm especially excited for the lovely Jen who is sure to become another yarn and needles rockstar. Congrats all of you!

I love several of the patterns too. I have to wait to knit them, though, because I have sooooo many projects waiting on the back burner. Rats!

okay, little miss internet-saavy, I can't figure out how to put pictures on my livejournal. Do you think you could write me a mini how-to, so my journal entries might one day be half as hot as yours? I'll make it worth your while...(what's that smell? greasy Siberian wool?)

soooo sorry i haven't responded sooner. i've been really busy/apathetic towards the interweb for some reason.

the way i upload files is really ghetto, but it works, and it's easy. you put your photos online on a photo-hosting site like photobucket.com (there are better ones out there now, like flickr, but i'm a creature of habit). those sites generate html tags, which you just cut and paste into your entry where you want them to appear. there is another way to do it where you write the tag yourself, and that tutorial is here:

anyhow, i hope you're doing well. is it super cold yet? it's still warm here =/ what a bummer. let me know what you're knitting these days, i promise to be a better pen pal.
